Arranging group visits
A group may charter the trolley any day during the week from April to November.
For chartered bus groups,
one tour leader per bus may ride free.
Cancellations are accepted up to noon of the day before your scheduled charter.
Payment in full is due at the time of the charter (credit cards and checks accepted).
Please call the museum office at 845-331-3399 for rates and making arrangements.
When you call the Museum,
specify where the trolley will pick up your group:
[a] the Trolley Museum (89 East Strand, Kingston)
[b] TR Gallo Memorial Park (1 Broadway, Kingston)
[c] Hudson River Maritime Museum (Rondout Landing).
Bus parking is available.
Your group may also bring a picnic lunch to the Hudson River stop.
If you plan to have a picnic,
mention this when you make your reservation.
Please allow at least an hour for your visit.
Here is a break down of the activities:
- ride: 45 minutes round trip plus any additional time spent at the Hudson River stop
- Visitors Center: 15 minutes
- Restoration Shop tour: 15 minutes
Groups with a particular interest in trolley cars,
railroading or transportation history are certainly welcome to spend more time in the Visitors Center and Restoration Shop.
Plan your time accordingly.
The restrooms and gift shop are in the Visitors Center.
Write or call the museum to make your reservation.
We hope your group enjoys its time at the Trolley Museum of New York.
