The Trolley Museum's "mini-trolley" is used in the annual St. Patrick's Day parade, which is one of the largest annual parades in the region. Beginning in 1997, the museum has lent the mini-trolley out to area schools for the play "Meet Me in St. Louis."

"512" is a modified golf cart. TWA at JFK Airport modified two golf carts to look like cable cars to publicize new San Francisco flights. After a number of years shuttling people around the airport, the carts were put into storage. Paul Barker, an employee of TWA and museum volunteer, noticed the cars in storage and inquired if he could acquire one.

After the cart's arrival in Kingston, it received further modifications to look like a trolley car: a pole and fender were added. The cart also received a fresh coat of paint and the lettering you see in the picture above.
