Museum building concept
From 1987 to 1990, the Trolley Museum constructed the building that currently houses the Visitors Center, offices, shop and up to eight trolley cars.
The limited budget at the time resulted in the plain grey masonry brick that we still have today.
Thanks to a grant from the New York Department of State,
an architectural firm has been hired to design a facade that will be more in character with the historic district.
This drawing is just an early concept,
but we thought you'd like to see what might be possible.
This initial design shows many features that may not be affordable,
so the next step is to cost out and prioritize construction elements.
This design project is one in a series of grants that New York State has applied to the Kingston Waterfront.
Public meetings are held on a regular basis to keep residents up-to-date on the progress along the Waterfront.
A meeting was held on June 3 at Kingston City Hall, with the next meeting probably in July.

Your renewal is in the mail
Those of you who have donated or volunteered in the past will be getting a letter soon asking for your continued support
of the Trolley Museum.
The downturn in the economy has reduced both donations and volunteerism which hampers the Museum's ability
to move forward.
Please give generously!
