The Trolley Museum of New York at 89 East Strand, Kingston, will hold an open house on May 10, 1997 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
All aspects of trolley and museum operations will be exhibited throughout the afternoon. This will be a special opportunity for the public to see what it takes to run the museum, including areas which are normally behind the scenes. Free admission and free parking. Refreshments will be available.
The events are arranged in "tracks." Track 1 will focus on visitor orientation, services and exhibits at the museum. Track 2 covers trolley operations. Finally, track 3 is for heavier work and equipment demonstrations. We have arranged the afternoon so that you can 'switch tracks' at any point. Furthermore, track 1 repeats, so that people who arrive late or who wish to see other demonstrations won't miss a beat.
